Tree Felling and Dismantling
Trees which have outgrown the garden they occupy and/or dead, diseased or dangerous trees sometimes need to be removed entirely.
When there is not sufficient space to fell a tree intact, we carry out a controlled 'sectional fell' where the tree is dismantled in sections from the top down.
The sectional felling process is undertaken using lowering ropes, pulleys and friction brakes to safely control every stage of the operation.
When each section reaches the ground, our team process the section for removal.
With our powerful 9 inch chipper, we reduce branches and green waste to chip.
This waste is then recycled as garden mulch or used for pathways and does not contribute to landfill waste.
Any waste which is too big to process in this way can be left behind or removed by us to be stacked, seasoned and used as firewood.

Sadly this over mature Beech was felled due to serious decay within the roots and its proximity to the castle access road. See our tree planting page to see the extent of the decay!
