Zip-line rigging
This tree was even more awkwardly situated than usual, being directly over a greenhouse and a shed.
Here, Lewis and the team set up a zip-line to carry branches safely over the out-buildings as they were removed.

Time-lapse of a sectional fell
This large tree was too near houses to attempt a straight fell so it had to be removed piece by piece.
The team use ropes and pulleys to safely lower larger branches to the ground where they can be processed either as wood chip, fire wood or occasionally to be turned into timber for furniture-making.
Straight felling
This very large lime tree had sadly reached the end of its life at around three hundred years old! The video was filmed on a smart phone in 2008. Needless to say technology has moved on considerably since then.
